The (Good) Word: Weeks of September 25th-October 20th
Last month, I shared the very first installments of this series with you. And it's been a while - but I'm back with the (good) word on The (Good) Word.In a nutshell? A brief collection of some good news that’s happening out in the world that makes me smile…a different, more positive, more empathetic perspective on the world we live in, especially as it pertains to women.Completely unintentional: most of the WANT words from these past few weeks are related to politics in some way. No, it's not about taking sides or sparking debate on issues - but no matter what party we identify with (if any at all), we can all raise a glass and give a hug to these women making a change for the better.

Maybe I'm overly sentimental, but I listened to Ellen K alongside Rick Dees on KIIS.FM almost every single day in the '90s. Ellen, you're an inspiration to us all! via TimeOut + RyanSeacrest.com

The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission is doing a federal investigation of gender discrimination in Hollywood. Maybe we don't have a solution or change yet, but this is a big step in the right direction. via The Los Angeles Times
